Patna: The South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) on Thursday reviewed its revenue performance and consumer service delivery during a high-level meeting chaired by Ajay Yadav, Energy Secretary and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL).
Senior officials, including SBPDCL Managing Director Saurabh Jorwal, IAS, attended the meeting, which focused on improving operational efficiency and achieving revenue targets.
Focus On Revenue And Consumer Services
Officials carried out a detailed review of revenue collection, electricity billing, recovery of outstanding dues, the rollout of smart prepaid meters, pending applications for new electricity connections and consumer services.
The meeting also assessed progress against departmental targets and examined measures to improve operational performance across SBPDCL’s distribution network.
Directions To Improve Collections
Ajay Yadav directed officials to strengthen revenue collection efforts and ensure that targets are achieved within the prescribed timelines.
He also stressed the importance of improving service delivery while maintaining regular monitoring of key operational indicators.
Weekly Monitoring Planned
SBPDCL Managing Director Saurabh Jorwal instructed officials to conduct weekly review meetings on revenue operations to ensure continuous monitoring of progress and timely resolution of issues affecting performance.
The company said regular reviews would help improve accountability and support the efficient implementation of revenue and consumer service initiatives.
