Bihar Weather Tomorrow (July 3): Rain Forecast For Several Districts, Heavy Downpour Likely From July 4

The weather department has forecast thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds across several districts, with heavy rainfall expected in parts of north Bihar between July 4 and July 6.

Patna: The southwest monsoon has become fully active across Bihar, bringing widespread changes in weather conditions and providing relief from the humid heat and heatwave that affected parts of the state in recent weeks.

According to the latest forecast issued by the Patna Meteorological Centre, a Yellow Alert has been issued for July 3, with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds expected across several districts.

Thunderstorms And Rain Forecast

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over parts of north-east, south-west and south-east Bihar, with wind speeds likely to reach 30–40 km/h.

Light to moderate rainfall is also expected at one or two places across north-west, north-central, north-east, south-west and south-central Bihar.

Rain is additionally forecast in parts of Jamui, Munger, Banka, Khagaria and Bhagalpur in south-eastern Bihar.

Temperatures To Remain Stable

The weather department said there is unlikely to be any significant change in weather conditions across Bihar over the next four to five days.

For July 3, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 32°C and 34°C in north-west, north-central, north-east and south-east Bihar, while minimum temperatures are likely to remain between 24°C and 26°C.

In parts of south-west and south-central Bihar, including Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Arwal, Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai and Jehanabad, daytime temperatures may be slightly higher, ranging between 34°C and 36°C, with minimum temperatures of 24°C to 28°C.

Heavy Rain Likely From July 4

The IMD has also forecast heavy rainfall between July 4 and July 6 in Muzaffarpur, Bagaha, Madhepura, Saharsa, Gopalganj and several districts of north-eastern Bihar.

The department has advised residents to remain alert during thunderstorms and lightning, particularly in areas covered by the weather warning, as active monsoon conditions are expected to persist across the state in the coming days.

Jeevika Didis in East Champaran’s Pakridayal subdivision can now apply to open Sudha sales centres in their panchayats. Selected women will receive Rs 60,000 in financial assistance to help set up their outlet, creating a new source of livelihood while making fresh dairy products more accessible in rural areas.

The initiative, jointly launched by Jeevika and COMFED, aims to promote women-led entrepreneurship and strengthen Bihar’s rural economy.
