Patna: North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) Managing Director Rahul Kumar inspected key power infrastructure in Hajipur on July 2 and directed officials to strengthen maintenance, expedite transformer repairs and improve consumer grievance redressal.
The inspection covered the EPIP Power Substation, Konharaghat Power Substation, the Fuse Call Centre and the Transformer Repair Workshop (TRW).
Focus On Reliable Supply For Industrial Consumers
During his visit to the EPIP Power Substation, Kumar directed officials to carry out regular maintenance in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
According to NBPDCL, the substation primarily supplies electricity to industrial consumers. Kumar said uninterrupted and quality power supply should be ensured by maintaining the infrastructure without lapses.
Review Of Power Infrastructure
At the Konharaghat Power Substation, the Managing Director reviewed the load on power transformers and instructed officials to continue routine maintenance as prescribed under the SOP.
He also inspected the Fuse Call Centre, examined complaint registers and directed officials to ensure consumer grievances are addressed without delay.
Faster Transformer Repairs Ordered
During his inspection of the Transformer Repair Workshop, Kumar instructed officials to accelerate the repair of faulty distribution transformers.
He said maintaining an adequate stock of repaired transformers would help meet replacement requirements across different areas and minimise service disruptions.
Priority On Service Quality
According to NBPDCL, Kumar reiterated that uninterrupted and reliable electricity supply remains the company’s priority. He said regular maintenance of power infrastructure and timely resolution of consumer complaints are essential to improving service delivery and ensuring a dependable power supply for consumers.
