Patna, 4th November 2023: In anticipation of the Lok Sabha General Election 2024 and the special brief revision of the voter list, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, District Election Officer-cum-District Officer of Patna, has constituted the District-level SVEEP Core Committee. The primary objective is to efficiently coordinate and supervise various programs related to sweep activities in the Patna district.
The structure of the Systematic Voter Education and Voter Awareness Program (SVEEP) Core Committee at the district level is as follows:
- Deputy Development Commissioner, Patna – Chairman
- District Public Relations Officer, Patna – Nodal Officer
- District Panchayat Raj Officer, Patna – Member
- Deputy Election Officer, Patna – Member
- All Electoral Registration Officers, Patna – Member
- District Education Officer, Patna – Member
- District Sports Officer, Patna – Member
- District Welfare Officer, Patna – Member
- Assistant Director, Child Protection Unit, Patna – Member
- District Program Officer (ICDS), Patna – Member
- Labor Superintendent, Patna – Member
- Leading Bank Manager (LDM), Patna – Member
- I.T. Manager, Patna – Member
The SVEEP program focuses on electoral list registration, deletion of dead/transferred/double entries, correction of incorrect particulars, and enhancement of the health indicator of the electoral list. Additionally, various awareness programs for the Lok Sabha General Election 2024 will be organized under the guidance of the Election Commission of India.
The District Level SVEEP Core Committee will implement timely awareness campaigns as per the work plan/calendar of the Sweep program. SVEEP-related activities will be broadcasted through various media channels.
