Bihar Cabinet Sanctions Rs 6.12 Crore for Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026

The Bihar Cabinet has approved Rs 6.12 crore for the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026, with the state planning rallies, cultural programmes, exhibitions and public awareness initiatives ahead of Independence Day.

Patna: The Bihar Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, on Wednesday approved 17 proposals, including the allocation of Rs 6.12 crore for organising the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 across the state. According to the state government, the funding will support a series of cultural, educational and public outreach programmes aimed at encouraging public participation ahead of Independence Day.

The Cabinet meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Vijendra Yadav, along with other members of the Council of Ministers.

Rs 6.12 Crore Approved for Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign

According to an order issued by Art, Culture and Youth Department Secretary Pranav Kumar, the state government has sanctioned Rs 6,12,00,000 for the implementation of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026.

Officials said the campaign is intended to promote awareness about the national flag and encourage wider public participation in Independence Day celebrations across Bihar.

What Activities Are Planned?

According to the Art, Culture and Youth Department, the campaign will include a range of events across the state, including:

  • Tiranga rallies and yatras
  • ‘Vande Mataram’ themed patriotic concerts
  • Exhibitions centred on the national flag and Vande Mataram
  • ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ campaign
  • Cultural performances and patriotic song presentations
  • Collective rendition of Vande Mataram
  • Tiranga-themed rangoli programmes
  • Tricolour illumination of government buildings
  • Public awareness and outreach activities

The department said these programmes are designed to encourage community participation and celebrate the significance of the national flag.

Government’s Stated Objective

According to the Art, Culture and Youth Department, the campaign aims to strengthen respect for the Indian national flag, increase public participation in Independence Day celebrations and promote patriotic awareness across the state.

Officials said activities will be organised in different districts to ensure wider public engagement during the campaign.

Cabinet Clears 17 Proposals

The approval for the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign formed part of 17 agenda items cleared during Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting.

The Bihar government is expected to release further details on the implementation of the remaining Cabinet decisions separately.

  • After the Bihar BJP review meeting in Patna, Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari interacted with journalists outside the party office.
The minister said that complaints related to the Education Department have reduced significantly. He stated that there was a time when people from across the state used to visit with issues related to transfers, salaries and appointments, but the situation has now changed. According to him, the decline in complaints is due to regular interaction with the public and timely resolution of their grievances.
Tiwari said he meets teachers, parents and the public three times every day. He meets people at his official residence at 10 am, at his office and ministry at 4 pm, and again at his official residence from 10 pm to 2 am, where he listens to everyone until the last person has been heard.
