Patna: On 6 August 2026, Lexicon, the Language Club, in collaboration with the Department of English, organised an interactive workshop titled “Jump on the Bandwagon: Speak, Write, Connect, Lead!” to enhance students’ communication and leadership skills.
The workshop was coordinated by Dr Devina Krishna, Assistant Professor, Department of English and coordinator of the Language Club.
The session was gracefully moderated by Ms Kanishtha Jain, who introduced the theme of the workshop, highlighting the importance of effective communication and refined linguistic skills in today’s fast-paced world for aspiring future leaders.

Focus on vocabulary and language proficiency
The keynote session was delivered by Dr Anand Prakash Pathak, Head and Associate Professor at the Amity Institute of English Studies & Research, Amity University, Patna.
The workshop focused on building rich, contextually appropriate vocabulary while improving clarity, fluency and confidence in communication.
Through interactive activities, participants engaged in quizzes on pronunciation, commonly misused words and frequently occurring grammatical errors, making the learning process both informative and enjoyable.
Encouraging confident communicators
Addressing the students, Dr Pathak emphasised the importance of becoming effective communicators, stating that strong language skills are essential for academic excellence, professional success and leadership.
The interactive format encouraged active participation and meaningful discussions, allowing students to apply language concepts in real-life contexts.
Programme concludes with vote of thanks
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Shuchita, a member of the Lexicon Language Club, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, faculty members, organisers and participants for making the event a success.
