Patna: A one-day state-level training program aimed at digitally empowering health services was conducted in the auditorium of Chandragupta Management Institute in Patna. The program was chaired by Rajesh Kumar, Administrative Officer of the State Health Committee, Bihar, and focused on the utilization of the m-ASHA App, ASHWIN Portal, and the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
The training saw participation from Block Community Catalysts (BCM), District Data Assistants (DDA), District Community Catalysts (DCM), and Divisional Asha Coordinators (DAC) across the state. During the program, the vital role of ASHA workers in enhancing rural health services and raising health awareness in remote areas was emphasized. ASHA workers are instrumental in developing village health plans and disseminating information regarding available medical services.
The primary objective of the training was to equip ASHA and ASHA facilitators with the skills to accurately capture data of all beneficiaries in their areas using the m-ASHA app. Implementing this digital process is expected to enhance transparency and efficiency in health services.
Following this training program, a special one-day training session on the m-ASHA app will be conducted for ASHA workers and facilitators at all block levels on October 28, 2024. The training will be supervised by the District Community Catalyst (DCM) and Divisional ASHA Coordinators to ensure that all workers can effectively utilize the app.
The event was attended by several officials, including Brinda Lal, BPSE Director of Finance at the State Health Committee; Nand Kishore Prasad, Additional Director of Finance; Y.N. Pathak, State Program Officer of ASHA; and Pranay Kumar, Team Leader of the ASHA State Health Committee, along with representatives from ABDM and other officials from the State Health Society.
