Special Program for Deepawali and Chhath Organised in Begusarai’s DAV Public School
Begusarai: DAV Public School Etawah in Begusarai organised a special program celebrating the festivals of Deepawali and Chhath. The event was inaugurated by Principal and Regional Assistant Officer Savita, accompanied by senior teacher Anil Kumar Ranjan, faculty members, and the departmental club.
During the program, students performed a drama based on the Chhath festival and created intricate rangoli designs. They also pledged to protect the environment by avoiding polluting activities like fireworks and committing to celebrate Deepawali in a safe and eco-friendly manner.
Principal Savita shared a message on Deepawali’s significance, emphasising the festival’s teachings on moving from darkness to light, spreading knowledge, and dispelling ignorance. She encouraged students to contribute positively to the environment and to society by lighting lamps together to symbolise unity and enlightenment.
Highlighting the importance of Chhath Mahaparva, the principal explained its connection to nature and the spirit of devotion it brings to Bihar. Music teachers Anjani Kumar and Usha Jha added to the event’s celebration with special performances, enhancing the cultural significance of Chhath for students and staff alike.
