Patna: The Danapur-Jogbani Vande Bharat Express has started its scheduled halt at Patliputra Junction, providing greater convenience to passengers from western Patna and nearby areas.
The new stoppage of train numbers 26302 Danapur-Jogbani Vande Bharat Express and 26301 Jogbani-Danapur Vande Bharat Express officially began on Sunday.
The introduction of the halt is expected to make it easier for passengers living in western parts of Patna and surrounding areas to access the Vande Bharat service without travelling to other major railway stations.
Vande Bharat Halt Inaugurated With Flag-Off Ceremony
The new stoppage was formally inaugurated at Patliputra Junction with a flag-off ceremony attended by Bihar minister Ram Kripal Yadav, MP Ravi Shankar Prasad and MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia.
Local residents, railway officials, employees, public representatives and a large number of passengers were present during the programme.
The event marked the beginning of the train’s regular scheduled halt at the station.
Danapur-Jogbani Vande Bharat to Halt for Two Minutes
According to the railway schedule, train number 26302 Danapur-Jogbani Vande Bharat Express will arrive at Patliputra Junction at 5:21 pm and depart at 5:23 pm.
The return service, train number 26301 Jogbani-Danapur Vande Bharat Express, will also stop at Patliputra Junction.
It will arrive at the station at 11:11 am and depart at 11:13 am, giving passengers a two-minute boarding and alighting window.
West Patna Passengers to Benefit
The new stoppage is expected to particularly benefit passengers from western Patna, who can now board or alight from the Vande Bharat Express at Patliputra Junction.
Residents of nearby areas will also have more convenient access to the train, potentially reducing the need to travel to distant stations to catch the service.
The stoppage is expected to improve connectivity between Patna and destinations along the Danapur-Jogbani route.
Railway Officials and Passengers Attend Event
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Abhinav Siddharth, along with other divisional railway officials, employees, public representatives and passengers, attended the inauguration programme.
The introduction of the new halt adds another important boarding point for passengers using the Danapur-Jogbani Vande Bharat Express and is expected to strengthen rail connectivity for western Patna.
