Gorvadhan Puja Celebrated with Splendour at ISKCON Temple

Patna: The Lord Gorvadhan Puja Maha Mahotsav was celebrated with immense enthusiasm at the ISKCON Patna temple premises. The Gorvadhan mountain was adorned with a grand display featuring 4 maunds of halwa, creating a festive atmosphere that seemed to evoke the presence of Giriraj Gorvadhan himself. This celebration exemplified the principles of Sanatan philosophy and highlighted the commitment to nature conservation.
A large crowd of devotees participated in the festivities, encircling the Gorvadhan mountain while chanting “Jai Giriraj, Jai Giriraj.” The event showcased a vibrant tableau presentation under the guidance of Leelakar Ratnesh Kumar, depicting the symbolic leela of Lord Giriraj Gorvadhan. Notable performances included Smaath Jilavat portraying Krishna, Himanshi Mishra as Radha Rani, and Sonali Rai and Sakshi embodying the Braj Gopis, bringing the divine leela to life.
The celebrations culminated in the distribution of Mahaprasad to thousands of devotees, emphasising the spirit of community and devotion. The event not only honoured the cultural heritage of the festival but also fostered a sense of unity among the participants, reaffirming the teachings of Lord Krishna.
