Patna: The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) has arrested Satish Kumar Yadav, one of the prime accused in the Bihar AEDO examination rigging case.
Yadav, a resident of Buxar, was apprehended near Shivpuri Park in the Gardanibagh police station area. According to the EOU, he had been absconding since the examination irregularities came to light and was being actively sought by investigators.
Alleged Role In Biometric Operations
According to the EOU, the investigation has revealed that Yadav had secured the contract for biometric operations at around 10 examination centres in Patna.
He subsequently entered into an agreement with vendors from M/s Sai Educare Private Limited and deployed his associates as biometric supervisors and operators at the examination centres.
The EOU alleged that personnel stationed at the centres helped Yadav’s network obtain question papers. Answers were then prepared with the assistance of ‘solvers’ and the resulting answer keys were allegedly conveyed to pre-selected candidates.

Beur Examination Centre Under Probe
The investigation has also brought an online examination centre in Patna under scrutiny.
According to the EOU, questions were solved at the RKR Solutions Pvt. Ltd. online examination centre on 70 Feet Road in Beur. Answer keys were allegedly prepared there with the assistance of solvers.
The agency said the centre was jointly operated by Yadav’s associates, Sarfaraz Alam and Ramesh Kumar.
Yadav Allegedly Fled To Nepal, Then Assam
According to the EOU’s press release, Yadav initially fled to Nepal after his name surfaced in the case and later moved to Assam.
The investigating agency continued tracking him and eventually arrested him based on confidential information.

Previous Case In Uttar Pradesh
The EOU said Yadav has a previous criminal record and was arrested in 2023 in connection with a constable recruitment examination paper leak case in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh.
According to the agency, he spent a considerable period in jail in connection with that case.
The EOU said his arrest in the AEDO case has yielded crucial evidence concerning other members of the alleged ‘solver gang’. The evidence is currently being verified, while investigators are examining the roles of other individuals linked to the network.
Four AEDO Cases Under Investigation
For now, Yadav has been arrested in connection with Munger Mufassil Police Station Case No. 177/26.
According to the EOU, he will also be taken on remand in other cases related to the AEDO examination.
The EOU is investigating a total of four cases involving alleged irregularities in the AEDO examination. All four cases remain under investigation.
