Bihar Special Trains From Telangana For Diwali And Chhath: Check Schedule For Patna, Danapur And Sasaram

Railways has announced additional services between Telangana and Bihar from October to December to meet increased festive-season travel demand

Patna: The Railways has announced several special trains between Telangana and Bihar to meet increased passenger demand during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath. The services will connect Cherlapalli and Hyderabad with Danapur, Patna and Sasaram between October and December 2026.

The additional services are intended to provide more travel options as demand for seats on regular trains rises during the festive season.

Cherlapalli-Danapur Special

Train No. 07049 Cherlapalli-Danapur Special will operate every Sunday from October 4 to November 29. It will depart from Cherlapalli at 9.30am and reach Danapur at 7.45pm the following day.

The train will pass through several stations, including Buxar and Ara.

For the return journey, Train No. 07050 Danapur-Cherlapalli Special will run every Monday from October 5 to November 30. It will depart from Danapur at 9.15pm and reach Cherlapalli at 7.30am on the third day.

Hyderabad-Danapur Special

Train No. 07091 Hyderabad-Danapur Special will operate every Saturday from October 3 to November 28. It will leave Hyderabad at noon and travel via DDU, Buxar and Arrah before reaching Danapur at 12.30am on the third day.

The return service listed as Train No. 07092 Danapur-Cherlapalli Special will run every Monday from October 5 to November 30. It will depart from Danapur at 3am and reach Cherlapalli at noon the following day.

Cherlapalli-Sasaram Service

Train No. 07041 Cherlapalli-Sasaram Special will run every Thursday from October 8 to November 26. The service will depart Cherlapalli at 8am and reach Sasaram at 4.30pm the following day.

The train will stop at key stations including DDU and Bhabua Road.

The return service, Train No. 07042 Sasaram-Cherlapalli Special, will operate from October 9 to November 27. It will depart Sasaram at 7pm and reach Cherlapalli at 3.30am on the third day, with halts at Bhabua Road and DDU.

More Trips On Patna-Cherlapalli Route

The Railways has also extended services of Train No. 03253 Patna-Cherlapalli Special. It will operate every Monday and Wednesday from October 5 to November 30.

Train No. 03254 Cherlapalli-Patna Special will run every Wednesday from October 7 to December 2, while Train No. 03255 Cherlapalli-Patna Special will operate every Friday from October 2 to November 27.

These services will provide additional connectivity between Patna and Cherlapalli through routes covering Gaya, Ranchi and Bilaspur.

Passengers Advised To Check Before Travel

The additional services come ahead of the peak festive travel period, when passenger demand typically increases on routes connecting Bihar with other states.

Passengers should verify the latest operating dates, timings, stoppages and ticket availability through official railway channels before booking. They should also check the schedule of the return service separately before finalising their journey.

After the Chief Minister left, BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal and a local MLA remained inside the school premises for some time amid security concerns. When police escorted Jaiswal towards his vehicle, a group of protesters allegedly surrounded the car and threw cow dung at it.
