Patna: The Bihar government has carried out a major reshuffle in the police department, changing the responsibilities of six IPS officers through a Home Department notification issued on Friday.
The changes include new appointments for the posts of Arwal Superintendent of Police (SP) and Patna City SP (Central), along with changes in senior-level responsibilities involving Law and Order, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau.
Ratna Sanjay Gets Additional Charge Of Law And Order
Ratna Sanjay, a 1998-batch IPS officer, has been assigned the additional charge of Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Law and Order, Bihar. He has also been given responsibility for the post of ADG, Prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau.
He was previously awaiting posting at Police Headquarters.
Kase Suhita Anupam, also a 1998-batch IPS officer, has been relieved of the additional charge of ADG (Weaker Sections). She has been posted as ADG (Weaker Sections) in the CID. She was earlier serving as ADG (Law and Order).
Navjot Simi Transferred To CID, Jadhav Named Arwal SP
Kiran Kumar Gaurav Jadhav, a 2016-batch IPS officer, has been appointed Superintendent of Police, Arwal. He was previously serving as Aide-de-Camp to the Governor.
Navjot Simi, the incumbent Arwal SP, has been transferred to the CID as Superintendent of Police.
Chandra Prakash Appointed Patna City SP (Central)
Chandra Prakash, a 2019-batch IPS officer, has been appointed City Superintendent of Police (Central), Patna.
He was previously the Commandant of Bihar Special Armed Police-10 in Patna and also held the additional charge of SP, Cyber Crime and Security Unit.
Mamta Kalyani, a 2005-batch IPS officer, has been transferred from the post of Patna City SP (Central) and appointed Commandant of Bihar Special Armed Police-10, Patna.
Nirmal Kumar Azad Relieved Of Additional Training Charge
Nirmal Kumar Azad, a 1994-batch IPS officer, has been relieved of the additional charge of Director General of Police (Training), Bihar.
He will continue to serve as Director General of Police, Prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau.
