Patna: The Railways will operate an unreserved MEMU Mela Special train service between Patna and Prayagraj from October 11 to October 26, 2026, to manage the expected increase in passenger traffic during the Sharadiya Navratri fair in Vindhyachal.
The special service will run daily in both directions for 16 days. Train No. 04182 will operate from Prayagraj to Patna, while Train No. 04181 will run from Patna to Prayagraj.
Prayagraj To Patna Train Schedule
Train No. 04182 will depart from Prayagraj at 11.15am and arrive at Patna Junction at 8.15pm on the same day. According to the schedule provided, the train will stop at Naini at 11.28am, Meja Road at 11.50am, Manda Road at 12.10pm, Vindhyachal at 12.35pm, Mirzapur at 12.53pm and Chunar at 1.30pm. It will reach DDU at 3.40pm, Buxar at 5.08pm, Ara at 6.08pm and Danapur at 7pm before arriving at Patna Junction.
The service will provide an additional travel option for passengers travelling from Prayagraj and intermediate stations towards Patna during the festival period.
Patna To Prayagraj Train Schedule
For the return journey, Train No. 04181 will depart from Patna Junction at 9pm daily between October 11 and October 26. The train is scheduled to reach Prayagraj at 6.30am the following day.
The overnight service will facilitate travel towards Prayagraj during the Navratri fair. Passengers travelling on this route should confirm the intermediate stoppages and timings through official railway notifications before departure.
Special Trains To Manage Festival Rush
The Railways has arranged the additional services to accommodate the anticipated increase in passenger numbers during the Sharadiya Navratri fair in Vindhyachal. The unreserved MEMU trains will operate throughout the announced period, subject to any changes issued by the Railways.
