The weather office said a cyclonic circulation persists over eastern Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas at an altitude of around 4.5 km above mean sea level.
A trough extending from the northwest Bay of Bengal to eastern Uttar Pradesh, passing through northern Odisha, Jharkhand and southwest Bihar, has weakened. A trough of westerly winds also remains active in the upper troposphere.
