Bihar School Examination Board Announces Schedule for Competency Test 2024

Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the schedule for the Competency Test (CTT) 2024 (III), intended for local body teachers across various classes. Anand Kishore, Chairman of BSEB, informed that the notification containing detailed guidelines will be released on November 25, 2024.

Online applications for the test, along with fee submission, will be accepted from November 26 to December 8, 2024. District Program Officers (Establishment) will forward the applications of teacher candidates from their respective districts by December 10, 2024. Admit cards will be issued on December 19, 2024, with the computer-based test scheduled to take place from December 26 to December 31, 2024.

The examination will comprise 150 objective-type questions based on the syllabus prescribed by the Bihar Public Service Commission for TRE-I, TRE-II, and TRE-III. Each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking. Candidates will have 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the test.

Following the examination, a provisional answer key will be available on the BSEB website from January 14 to January 17, 2025, for objections. The board aims to publish the final results by February 5, 2025. Like previous tests, this competency exam will evaluate teachers’ skills in a fair and transparent manner.

The Competency Test is part of an ongoing initiative to assess and enhance the quality of education provided by local body teachers, ensuring alignment with state standards and improving overall teaching efficiency.
