Bihar Defeated by Haryana in Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy

Patna: Bihar lost to Haryana by an innings and 238 runs in the Colonel CK Nayudu Under-23 Men’s Cricket Tournament at the Gurugram Cricket Ground in Sultanpur. In the final match of the first phase, Bihar managed to score only 117 runs in its first innings and 143 runs in the second, while Haryana posted a massive total of 498 runs in its first innings.
On the third day of the match, Bihar resumed at 40/2 and could only add 103 runs before being all out for 143 in 40.3 overs. Manish Kumar was the top scorer for Bihar with 30 runs, while Anup Kumar contributed an unbeaten 21 runs. Other notable contributions included Suraj Kashyap (18) and Mohammad Izhar (9).
In the second innings, Bihar’s batsmen struggled against Haryana’s bowlers. Piyush Dahiya took 1 wicket for 25 runs, Anuj Thakral picked up 3 wickets for 47 runs, Parth Vats claimed 2 wickets for 27 runs, and Daksh Kamra took 2 wickets for 21 runs.
Looking ahead, Bihar will face Mumbai on January 25 and Jharkhand on February 1 in the second phase of the tournament.
