Special Trains Aim To Ease Diwali And Chhath Travel Rush
Diwali and Chhath are among the busiest travel periods for Bihar, as people working in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Kolkata and other cities return home to celebrate the festivals with their families.
During this period, regular trains often experience heavy demand, leaving passengers with long waiting lists and limited availability of confirmed tickets.
The additional services are intended to provide more travel options and accommodate the seasonal increase in passenger numbers.
The Anand Vihar–Sabour service is particularly relevant for passengers travelling to the Bhagalpur and Munger regions, while the New Delhi–Howrah service will provide additional connectivity between Delhi and West Bengal.
Booking Dates Yet To Be Announced
Eastern Railway has stated that the dates for opening reservations on both pairs of special trains will be announced separately.
Passengers should check official railway announcements for booking information and verify the latest timetable, stoppages and seat availability before travelling.
The additional services are expected to give passengers greater flexibility when planning their journeys during the November festive season, particularly those travelling between Delhi and eastern Bihar.
