Patna: With the aim of raising awareness about air and noise pollution, the Bihar State Pollution Control Board organised street plays at four different locations in the famous Harihar Kshetra at Sonpur Mela today. The event sought to educate the public, especially visitors from various parts of the country and state, about the harmful effects of pollution.
The street plays conveyed important messages, urging people not to burn agricultural waste like stubble and to find alternative uses for it. Participants were also advised against burning domestic waste and encouraged to dispose of it properly in dustbins. The plays highlighted the serious health issues caused by air pollution from burning waste, explaining its detrimental impact on both the environment and human well-being.
The initiative was part of the Pollution Control Board’s ongoing efforts to address pressing environmental concerns and foster responsible behaviour among the public. Relevant photographs from the event have been attached to provide further insight into the activities carried out.
