Patna: Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) on Tuesday hosted the Agri Udaan 8.0 Food and Agribusiness Accelerator Roadshow and Start-up Hunt, a national initiative aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the agriculture and allied sectors.
The programme was organised by the Association for Innovation Development of Entrepreneurship in Agriculture (a-IDEA) in collaboration with the ICAR–National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad. The roadshow is part of the Agri Udaan accelerator series that supports early-stage agribusiness start-ups through mentoring, funding access and institutional support.

The inaugural session began with the felicitation of dignitaries, followed by the rendition of Vande Mataram and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The welcome address was delivered by Kumod Kumar, chief administrative officer of CIMP and director and chief executive of CIMP-BIIF, who highlighted the importance of platforms such as Agri Udaan in strengthening India’s start-up ecosystem in agriculture.

Kumar said the Agri Udaan 8.0 roadshow marked a significant step towards empowering agri-entrepreneurs, fostering innovation and creating new opportunities in the food and agribusiness sector. He also acknowledged the participation of dignitaries, students, faculty members and staff in making the event successful.

The roadshow at Patna provided start-ups with an opportunity to present their ideas, connect with experts and explore pathways for scaling innovations aimed at improving agricultural productivity, sustainability and market access.
