Patna : Akshaya Tritiya, one of the most significant festivals in Hinduism, will be celebrated on April 30 this year. This day, marked by auspicious planetary alignments, is traditionally considered an ideal time for starting new ventures, as well as purchasing real estate, jewellery, and electronic goods.
The Tritiya Tithi will begin at 5:30 AM and continue through the evening, with devotees encouraged to take a holy dip in the Ganga. It is believed that bathing in the sacred river on this day brings great merit, with the day’s blessings multiplying manifold.
According to ancient scriptures like the Bhavishya Purana, Akshaya Tritiya holds a special significance as it marks the start of the Satya Yuga and Treta Yuga. Rohini Nakshatra: A Boost for Agriculture
Astrologer Dr. Rajnath Jha, Director of the Jyotirveda Science Institute, explained that Lord Parshuram and Lord Hayagriva incarnated on Akshaya Tritiya, which adds to the day’s sacredness. This year, if Akshaya Tritiya coincides with Rohini Nakshatra, it will be particularly beneficial for agricultural activities, making it an excellent time for sowing crops.
Dr. Jha also noted that Akshaya Tritiya falls on the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the moon) of Vaishakh month, starting at 5:30 AM and continuing until the evening. As such, it is seen as a time to engage in both spiritual and material pursuits, ensuring prosperity for the year ahead.
