Bhagalpur/Patna: The much-anticipated Amrit Bharat Express connecting Bhagalpur to Gomtinagar and Ayodhya Dham is set for its inauguration on Friday. In a special gesture, passengers on this inaugural journey will be able to travel free of charge.
The inaugural program is scheduled to commence at 10:30 AM, with the train departing from platform number one at 11:45 AM. This new service will feature a total of 22 coaches and will provide a direct link to Ayodhya Dham, a significant pilgrimage site.
Free Travel, Amenities, and Souvenir Tickets
Passengers embarking on this historic journey will receive souvenir tickets from the railway, which will serve as their travel identity. These special tickets will permit passengers to travel to Ayodhya and return to Bhagalpur on the same train. Adding to the convenience, the railways will provide complimentary breakfast, food, tea, and drinking water during the journey.
Many individuals eager to travel to Ayodhya have already registered their details with the station superintendent and CMI on Thursday. On Friday, souvenir tickets will be distributed at a dedicated stall set up at the station, under the leadership of CMI Phool Kumar Sharma.
Security and Schedule Details
The railway and Railway Protection Force (RPF) administration have made special preparations for the inaugural event, with the responsibility for security entrusted to the team led by Inspector Amit Kumar Giri. As a precautionary measure, shops on the station premises have been temporarily removed.
The Amrit Bharat Express is scheduled to reach Ayodhya at 4 AM on July 19. On the same day, it will depart from Gomtinagar at 11 AM, arriving back in Bhagalpur at 6 AM on July 20. This new express service is expected to significantly boost connectivity and convenience for travelers from Bhagalpur to key destinations in Uttar Pradesh.
