Patna: Mokama MLA Anant Singh on Friday said he would surrender before the court by December 1 in the Dularchand Yadav murder case, following the Supreme Court’s direction, while expressing confidence that he would secure bail again.
Addressing a press conference in Patna, Singh said he respected the judiciary and would comply with the Supreme Court’s order.
“We will surrender, and we will get bail from the court. We have faith in the judiciary,” he said.
The Supreme Court directed Singh to surrender by December 1 and asked the Bihar government to complete the investigation into the murder case within four months.
Anant Singh Accuses Neeraj Kumar Of Orchestrating Murder
During the press conference, Singh accused JD(U) leader Neeraj Kumar of orchestrating the murder of Dularchand Yadav and claimed that he had been falsely implicated in the case.
The Mokama MLA said his political opposition was directed specifically against Neeraj Kumar rather than any political party. He further alleged that Kumar was behind the cases registered against him.
Singh also expressed dissatisfaction with the JD(U) leadership and the state government, alleging that both had acted on Neeraj Kumar’s instructions.
The allegations made by Singh have not been independently established.
‘Things Would Have Been Different Under Nitish Kumar’
Referring to former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Singh said the situation within the JD(U) would have been different had Kumar remained in control of the party.
“If Nitish-ji were in control, none of this would have happened,” he said.
Singh claimed that the party’s internal situation had changed following developments concerning Nitish Kumar’s health and circumstances. He also questioned the JD(U)’s electoral prospects, suggesting that the party could face difficulties in future elections.
Rules Out Meeting Nitish Kumar And Lalan Singh
Singh reiterated that he would surrender before the court by December 1 and had no intention of evading the judicial process.
He also ruled out meeting Nitish Kumar or JD(U) leader Lalan Singh. When asked further questions about Neeraj Kumar, he declined to elaborate.
Background Of The Dularchand Yadav Murder Case
Anant Singh had earlier secured bail from the Patna High Court in the Dularchand Yadav murder case and was released from jail in March 2026.
However, the Supreme Court’s latest direction requires him to surrender by December 1, with further proceedings in the case to follow.
