Anti-Ragging Day: Patna Women’s College Raises Awareness with Powerful Documentary
Patna: Patna Women’s College organized an Anti-Ragging Day on Monday to raise awareness among the students regarding the peril. To mark this day all the departments of the college screened several documentary films related to the subject.
The aim was to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging. The Documentary featured multiple aspects related to ragging like the sections and helpline numbers. This one-week program will conclude on the 17th of August with an Anti Ragging orientation workshop that will be organized for the teaching and non-teaching staff.
The college also has an Anti-Ragging committee of 9 members Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College holds the position of chairperson of the college’s anti-ragging committee, which consists of nine members.
The other members of the Committee include Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice Principal, Dr. Shobha Shrivastava, the Head of the Department of Zoology, Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., the Head of the Department of History, Dr. Soofia Fatima, the Head of the Department of Commerce, Dr. Prabhas Ranjan, the Assistant Professor of the Department of Education, Sushma Ojha, the Parent Representative, Shrishti Tiwari, the Student Representative, and Dr. Ameeta Jaiswal, the Head of the Department of Philosophy who currently serves as the Member Secretary.
