Arvind Akela Kallu Wins Best Actor at the 18th Bhojpuri Film Awards 2023

MUMBAI – The grand event of the 18th Bhojpuri Film Awards 2023 unfolded in Mumbai’s Kandivali on December 23, where the heartbeat of young hearts, actor Arvind Akela Kallu, was honored with the Best Actor award. In a spectacular evening, Amrapali Dubey received the Best Actress award, Pramod Shastri was recognized as the Best Director, and Ranjan Sinha was acclaimed as the Best PR O.

The 18th edition of the Bhojpuri Film Awards, which commenced in 2005, marked its significance in its 18th edition. The main guests for the evening included Amitabhai Chavda, Leader of the Opposition in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, and Mahesh Rajput, Secretary-General of MPCI Gujarat. The colorful event also witnessed the presence of Sushma Shiromani, Senior Vice President of IMPPI, Ashok Pandit, President of IFTDA, BN Tiwari, President of FWICE, Rajesh Yadav, Former Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Surendra Pal, actor, and the founder and organizer of the Bhojpuri Film Awards, Vinoth Kumar Gupta.

Directed by Arshad Asfak Khan, the program was embellished with a dance performance by Sanjay Korve.

Expressing gratitude upon receiving the award, Kallu stated, “The 18th Bhojpuri Film Awards 2023 is not just an honor for me; it’s also a hope on which I strive to deliver and stand true to the trust of the audience. Quality, along with the audience’s preference, remains my top priority.”

These awards were presented to a total of 20 categories at the 18th Bhojpuri Film Awards 2023, celebrating excellence in both performance and technical aspects of filmmaking.

In addition to the competitive categories, special awards were conferred upon prominent personalities, including Life Time Achievement Award to Madhu Mishra, Special Awards to Rani Chatterjee, Sambhavna Seth, Nishant Ujjwal for their exceptional contributions to Bhojpuri cinema.

The event concluded with heartfelt acknowledgments, including a Special Award to Munna Yadav (Spot Boy).
