Patna: The School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) at Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, launched its first bilingual monthly e-magazine on Saturday. The event was attended by prominent figures from academia and journalism who shared insights and words of encouragement with students aspiring to enter the field.
The launch was led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sharad Kumar Yadav, who served as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Prof. Atish Prasher of the Department of Mass Communication at the Central University of South Bihar, Gaya, and senior journalist Jai Shankar Gupta from the Press Council of India, who attended as Guests of Honour.
Throughout the event, the guests discussed their careers and shared key lessons with the students, highlighting the evolving landscape of journalism and the importance of innovation and perseverance in the industry.
The editorial team behind the e-magazine is led by Dr. Manisha Prakash as Chief Editor and Dr. Sandeep Kumar Dubey as Editor, with Dr. Snehashish Vardhan and Dr. Sandeep Kumar serving as Associate Editors. Student contributors include Mansi Kumari, Shraddha Kumari, Gaurang Pathak, Sushant Kumar, Prabhas Kumar, Nishant Kumar, Ayush Kumar, and Hrithik Roshan, who have enriched the magazine with their writings.
The ceremony concluded with the guests offering motivational messages, urging students to pursue their careers in journalism with dedication, integrity, and passion.
