Astrological Alignments Put Auspicious Events on Hold Until July

Patna: The celestial calendar is dictating a pause on auspicious events as the last Lagna-Muhurta of April, falling on the 28th, marks the conclusion of favorable timings for significant ceremonies. According to astrologers, this hiatus will extend through May and June, with the setting of key planets Venus and Jupiter.

A Patna- based astrologer elucidated that on April 29, Venus will set in the east, followed by Jupiter’s setting in the west on May 6. The culmination of these celestial movements signifies an inauspicious period, rendering it unfavorable for significant undertakings, particularly marriages.

Highlighting the importance of planetary positions, the astrologer emphasized that weddings during the setting or debilitation of major planets are deemed inauspicious. The resumption of auspicious events is anticipated with the rise of Venus in July, post-Harishayan Ekadashi on July 17, marking the commencement of favorable occasions. However, for weddings to be deemed auspicious, the alignment of Jupiter, Venus, and the Sun is imperative.

Beyond marriages, ceremonies such as Upanayan, Mundan, Bhoomi Pujan, and housewarmings will also be postponed until the auspicious celestial configuration returns.

Post the period of Kharmas, the auspicious season for marriages will recommence. As per almanac calculations, July boasts three Lagna Muhurtas in the Mithila Panchang and seven in the Banarasi Panchang, providing ample opportunities for weddings.

For those planning weddings, the auspicious times, as per the Mithila Panchang, are scheduled for May 1 and July 10, 11, and 12. Conversely, according to the Banarasi Panchang, the favorable wedding dates are July 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. Looking ahead, November and December also offer several auspicious dates for marriages, as listed: November 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, and 29, and December 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 14, and 15.
