Patna: Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) President Rakesh Kumar Tiwari lauded Suman Kumar for his remarkable achievement of taking ten wickets in an innings during the Cooch Behar Trophy Under-19 Men’s Cricket Tournament. Tiwari expressed immense pride in Suman’s record-breaking performance, calling it a testament to the growing cricketing talent in Bihar.

Tiwari pointed out the progress of cricket in the state, emphasising that players like Suman Kumar and Vaibhav Suryavanshi are excelling at the national level. He also noted that Under-19 player Prithvi Raj is currently the top-ranked batsman in this season’s Cooch Behar Trophy. These achievements, he stated, are a reflection of Bihar’s improving cricket infrastructure and signal a bright future for the sport in the state.

The BCA President assured that the association is committed to providing better resources and facilities for players. Plans are in place to enhance domestic cricket standards, including improving stadiums and training programs, which will help yield even better results across all age groups in the coming season.

Tiwari wished Suman Kumar continued success and reaffirmed the BCA’s commitment to nurturing local talent. He emphasised that with continued support and resources, players from Bihar will soon represent the Senior India team.

Suman Kumar’s historic ten-wicket haul against Rajasthan at Moinul Haque Stadium in Patna has made him the first player from Bihar to achieve this remarkable feat, solidifying his place in the state’s cricketing history.
