Bhagalpur/Patna:The trade licence camp being held at the Eastern Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (EBCCI) office in Bhagalpur has been extended until June 15 following a strong turnout of traders.
The decision was taken after a large number of traders visited the camp on Friday, the final day of its scheduled seven-day run, to apply for new trade licences and renew existing ones.
Around 400 Applications Submitted
According to chamber officials, nearly 400 applications were submitted on Friday alone for the issuance of new trade licences and the renewal of existing licences.
With the number of applicants continuing to rise, EBCCI Senior Vice-President Anil Kumar Khetan held discussions with the concerned authorities and recommended an extension of the camp. Officials subsequently agreed to continue the initiative.
Camp to Operate Daily
Khetan said the camp will now remain operational every day until June 15.
Traders can submit their documents at the chamber office between 11 am and 4 pm.
Chamber Urges Early Applications
Chamber representatives appealed to traders to complete their applications before the deadline and avoid waiting until the final days.
EBCCI president Sharad Kumar Salarpuria, general secretary CA Puneet Chaudhary, programme convenor Rajesh Banka, Deepak Kumar Sharma and Sunil Budhia were present during the camp activities.
