Patna: Bhojpuri film star Akshara Singh has been honoured with the Appreciation Award by the Bihar Jharkhand Association of North America (BJANA USA), recognising her contributions to Indian culture and regional cinema. The award ceremony took place in the United States, where Singh was praised for her rising international profile and cultural impact.

Sharing her joy on social media, Singh posted an emotional message along with a photo from the event, calling the recognition a symbol of her long journey from Bihar to the global stage. “I never thought I would travel from a small corner of Bihar to represent my state and country in America,” she wrote. “This isn’t just an award—it is the victory of my hard work, struggle and dreams.”

In her heartfelt note, the actress added, “When people take the name of Bihar with respect so far from home, it feels like years of penance have paid off.”

Akshara, known for her powerful roles and performances in Bhojpuri films, looked elegant in a black dress at the award function. She also dedicated the honour to every girl who dares to dream big while staying connected to their roots.

“This award belongs to everyone who continues to move forward without forgetting where they came from,” she said, thanking BJANA USA for recognising the contributions of the diaspora community.
