Patna: Bihar Information Technology and Urban Development Minister Nitish Mishra on Saturday said Bihar was positioning itself as an emerging hub for Artificial Intelligence, digital governance and technology-driven innovation while inaugurating the two-day Bihar AI Summit 2026 at the Urja Auditorium in Patna.
Addressing policymakers, industry leaders, startup founders and technology professionals at the summit, the minister described the event as a “historic initiative” aimed at shaping Bihar’s digital future and innovation ecosystem.
Bihar Positioning Itself as Technology Hub
Mishra said Bihar was no longer merely a provider of human resources but was increasingly emerging as a centre for:
- Innovation
- Entrepreneurship
- Technology-led governance
- AI-driven development
He said the state government wanted the benefits of AI to reach:
- Every citizen
- Every village
- Every young person in Bihar
Appeal to Bihari Diaspora and Investors
The minister also appealed to people of Bihari origin living across India and abroad to contribute to the state’s development.
He urged members of the diaspora to support Bihar’s growth through:
