Patna: The construction work of Bihar Animal Science University is moving quickly and is expected to be completed soon. The university is being built by the Building Construction Department on a large area of over 224 acres. Once ready, it will have modern buildings, smart classrooms, labs, and many useful facilities for students, teachers, and researchers.
Many parts of the campus are already finished. These include the Dairy Engineering building, boys’ hostel, community centre, and guest house. An auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,200 people is under construction. A sports complex is also being built for students who enjoy outdoor games. The guest house will have 40 single rooms, 10 VIP rooms, and 20 dormitory beds for visitors.
The university will provide comfortable hostel spaces for students. The boys’ hostel will have rooms for 350 undergraduate, 210 postgraduate, and 140 PhD students. The girls’ hostel will offer space for 200 undergraduate, 90 postgraduate, and 60 PhD students. These hostels are designed to ensure a good living and study environment for students.
Kumar Ravi, the Secretary of the Building Construction Department, said that many buildings are already ready, and the rest will be completed soon. He added that the university is being built using modern technology and will include green features to save energy. There will be special labs like the Dairy Process Engineering Lab, Food Engineering Lab, and Computer Lab. With all these facilities, Bihar Animal Science University aims to become a top centre for learning, research, and innovation in animal science.
