Patna : In a move that comes just before the upcoming elections, the Bihar Home Defense Corps has announced the recruitment of 15,000 Home Guards across the state. The online application process is set to begin on March 27 and will continue until April 16. Interested candidates can apply through the newly launched website, www.onlinebhg.bihar.gov.in, which will go live on March 27.
According to information provided by the office of the Director General cum General Administrator of Home Guard Corps and Fire Services, applications will be accepted for 15,000 vacant posts across 37 districts of Bihar, excluding Arwal district and the police districts of Navgachiya and Bagaha. The recruitment will be conducted based on district-wise vacancies, with detailed instructions available on the official website.
Recruitment Camps for Security Guards and Supervisors in Hajipur
In addition to the Home Guard recruitment, a large-scale recruitment drive for security soldiers and security supervisors will be conducted in all 16 blocks of Hajipur district. These camps are being organised with the cooperation of the Sub-Regional Employment Office, Hajipur, and the district administration.
Ramdhari Singh, Group Commander of Security and Intelligent Services Limited, said that selected candidates will receive free registration forms and prospectuses at the recruitment site itself. Successful candidates will be given selection letters on the spot and will subsequently report for training at the company’s training centre located at Jhapaha, Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi Road.
The training, which will last for one month, will cover various security-related topics. Upon successful completion, candidates will be posted at different locations according to the company’s requirements.

Minimum qualification: Class 10 pass
Age: 19 to 40 years
Minimum height: 168 cm
Weight: Between 55 and 90 kg
Candidates must be physically and mentally fit
