Patna: Bihar BJP spokesperson Neeraj Kumar has accused Faizal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, of manipulating student sentiments for personal gain. BJP’s allegations come amid growing protests in Patna demanding the cancellation of the Bihar Public Service Commission’s (BPSC) 70th Preliminary Test (PT) exam.
On Tuesday, Khan, a prominent coaching centre operator in Patna, led a demonstration with students advocating for the annulment of the exam. He insisted that no political party would be allowed to participate in the movement, emphasising his commitment to the cause. However, in a sharp response, Neeraj alleged that Khan’s actions contradicted his public stance.
Neeraj Kumar accused Khan Sir of capitalizing on the BPSC controversy by enrolling students for the 70th BPSC Mains preparation in Delhi. He claimed that Khan was using the protests as a vehicle for advancing his political ambitions while profiting from students’ aspirations. “He is creating turmoil in Bihar while collecting admission fees in Delhi. This is a clear attempt to exploit the emotions of students.
In response to the allegations, Khan defended himself, stating that the fees for classes in Delhi were modest, especially considering the high cost of living in the city. He dismissed the accusations of financial exploitation, asserting that his institution operated with minimal fees and paid taxes in full. He also pointed out the hypocrisy of his critics, citing the higher fees charged by coaching centres in Kota. “The fees we charge are not exorbitant; we make officers out of students with affordable fees.
