Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the schedule for its free coaching programme aimed at helping students prepare for medical and engineering entrance examinations. Online applications for the programme have begun, and students can apply until April 5, 2026.
The scheme is open to students who will appear for the Class 10 examination in 2026, regardless of the board they are affiliated with.
Under the initiative, students can opt for either residential or non-residential coaching. For the residential programme, which will be conducted in Patna, students will be required to pay a nominal fee of Rs 100. The non-residential coaching programme will be completely free of cost.
The non-residential coaching will be conducted in nine divisional districts, including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Chhapra, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Gaya and Munger.
Students selected for the residential programme will receive free accommodation and meals along with modern academic facilities such as air-conditioned classrooms, digital boards and study materials. Separate batches of 50 boys and 50 girls will be formed. The programme will also include two tests every month, doubt-clearing sessions and continuous academic support.
In addition, students enrolled in the residential coaching programme will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 400. Those opting for non-residential coaching will have to enroll in a local Plus Two school and will receive a monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,000.
Super-50 students perform well in JEE Main
Students from the BSEB’s Super-50 batch have delivered strong results in the JEE Main examination. According to the board, five students scored above the 99 percentile, while 24 others secured more than 93.94 percentile.
