Patna: Students preparing for the Bihar Board Matric Examination 2027 will have an additional way to assess their preparation before the board exams, with weekly online tests and practice involving around 1,500 important multiple-choice questions (MCQs) per subject.
The initiative aims to help students become familiar with the examination pattern, improve their speed and accuracy, and identify subjects or chapters that need more attention.
In Saran district, the programme is being implemented through the ‘Guru-Test Factory’ initiative, under which students appearing for next year’s matric examination are taking online tests every week.
Weekly Online Tests to Assess Preparation
Under the initiative, schools share online test links with students through their WhatsApp groups. Students can take the tests within the prescribed time and evaluate their preparation.
The regular assessments are intended to give students practice in answering questions within a fixed timeframe, selecting the correct options and managing their time more effectively.
The tests will also help students understand whether their preparation is translating into actual performance, rather than relying only on classroom learning and textbook revision.
1,500 Important MCQs for Each Subject
Students will practise around 1,500 important objective questions in each subject under the Test Factory programme.
Repeated practice is expected to familiarise students with different types of multiple-choice questions and help them improve their ability to understand questions and select correct answers.
Students can also use their test performance to identify recurring mistakes. If they struggle with questions from a particular chapter, they can revisit the topic and work on areas that need improvement.
Test Results to Highlight Weak Subjects and Chapters
The initiative goes beyond conducting examinations. Students’ performance will be assessed to identify areas where they are doing well and subjects or chapters that require additional preparation.
Regular feedback can help students make their study plans more targeted. Identifying weaknesses well before the board examinations may also reduce last-minute pressure and give students more time to revise difficult topics.
Initiative Aims to Reduce Exam Stress
Board examinations can be challenging for students who are still developing time-management skills and confidence in handling question papers.
Weekly online tests are intended to familiarise students with timed assessments and help them understand how to allocate time to questions. Consistent practice may also help them approach the examination with greater confidence.
Saran Officials Monitoring the Programme
In Saran, the ‘Guru-Test Factory’ initiative is being monitored by District Magistrate Vaibhav Srivastava and District Education Officer Nishant Kiran.
The education department aims to ensure that students receive regular practice and have sufficient time to address learning gaps before the 2027 matric examinations.
The initiative combines objective-question practice, weekly assessments and performance evaluation to support more structured exam preparation.
