Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will announce the results of the Matriculation examination on Sunday at 1:15 pm, bringing anticipation to an end for nearly 15 lakh students across the state.
The announcement was confirmed by Anand Kishore, chairman of the board. The results will be released in the presence of Bihar’s education minister Sunil Kumar and Dr B Rajendra, additional chief secretary of the education department.
Students will be able to access their results on the official websites: result.biharboardonline.org and matricbiharboard.com.
The release follows a three-day verification process conducted by the board to finalise the list of top-performing candidates. As part of its standard procedure, BSEB verifies students ranked among the top five to top 10 before officially declaring the results.
Successful candidates in the merit list are awarded financial incentives, laptops and certificates jointly issued by the Bihar School Examination Board and the state government.
According to sources, merit verification this year covered 1,035 candidates. While more than 500 students were verified on Friday, the remaining 46 candidates completed their verification on Saturday, clearing the way for the final result declaration.
Speculation over the release date had intensified in recent days, with reports initially suggesting a possible earlier announcement. However, local media indicated that the results would be declared on Sunday or Monday, aligning with the board’s earlier timeline of releasing results by March 30.
Despite Sunday being a public holiday, the board has proceeded with the announcement, reflecting the urgency and significance of the examination for students and their families.
With the results now imminent, anxiety and excitement remain high among lakhs of candidates awaiting their scores.
