Bihar Cabinet Reshuffle Likely Soon, New Faces Expected

Nitish Kumar and Nadda

Patna: A significant reshuffle in the Bihar cabinet is expected soon, with sources indicating that the list of changes is nearly finalized. Reports suggest that 2-3 ministers may be removed, making way for new faces in the government.

Among the speculated changes, BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal is expected to resign from his current position, with rumors suggesting his departure from the cabinet is almost certain. On the Janata Dal (United) side, there is talk of Manish Verma joining the government, although official party leaders have refrained from making any confirmations.

Earlier, on September 6, a meeting between BJP National President JP Nadda and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar lasted for about half an hour, sparking further speculation about the reshuffle. Additionally, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal and JDU State President Umesh Kushwaha recently held a half-hour discussion, reportedly focusing on the formation of boards and commissions.

While both leaders confirmed that discussions related to the upcoming assembly elections and the formation of a coordination committee within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) took place, sources suggest that the conversation also touched upon appointments to various boards and corporations. An official announcement is expected soon, following final approval of the list.
