Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Emphasises Crime Control in High-Level Law and Order Review

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday evening chaired a high-level review meeting on law and order, instructing senior officials, including the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police (DGP), to maintain strict vigilance on crime control.
During the meeting, DGP Vinay Kumar provided an update on the ongoing efforts to curb crime across the state, assuring the Chief Minister that the police were operating with full alertness.
CM Nitish reiterated that maintaining law and order remains the government’s top priority and warned against any complacency. He stressed that no offender should be spared, directing officials to identify culprits swiftly and take strict action without bias. He further instructed authorities to investigate any potential conspiracies behind criminal incidents and ensure rigorous follow-up after inquiry.
The Chief Minister also emphasised the need for timely crime investigations, urging officials to expedite cases so that legal action against perpetrators is taken without delay. He called on the police and administration to remain diligent in upholding law and order.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, DGP Vinay Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Anupam Kumar, and Special Officer to the Chief Minister Gopal Singh.
