Patna: In a move aimed at expanding employment opportunities and improving technical education in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday handed over appointment letters to 496 newly recruited Industrial Training Institute (ITI) instructors. The distribution took place at Samvad Bhawan under the “Rojgar Matlab – Nitish Kumar, Appointment Letter Distribution Ceremony.”
The event was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with Labour Resources Minister Santosh Kumar Singh and Labour Resources Department Secretary Deepak Anand.
The appointment of these instructors is expected to enhance the quality of technical education in government ITIs, equipping students with better skills and guidance. The newly recruited instructors will play a crucial role in making Bihar’s youth self-reliant by providing practical training and industry-relevant knowledge.
The recruitment process began two years ago when the Labour Resources Department requested the Bihar State Technical Service Commission to initiate hiring. A selection committee, chaired by Joint Director Suresh Kumar Singh, provided technical support and ensured document verification for the selected candidates.
The initiative aligns with the Bihar government’s vision of making youth technically proficient and creating more employment opportunities within the state. Officials believe the recruitment of ITI instructors will not only benefit students but also strengthen the state’s technical education sector, ultimately driving industrial growth and job creation.
