
Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on July 6 inspected the ongoing expansion work of Abhilekh Bhawan in Patna. During his visit, he reviewed the premises and enquired about the existing arrangements.
Additional Chief Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat Department, Dr. S. Siddharth informed the Chief Minister that a large number of records are currently preserved in Abhilekh Bhawan. Considering the increasing need for storage, a new building is being constructed to expand the facility. The upcoming structure will include advanced systems for systematic storage and modern amenities for research scholars, including a cafeteria and other facilities.
CM Nitish emphasised that important government records are kept in Abhilekh Bhawan and the construction of the new building in its rear section will ensure their better preservation. He directed that the expansion work be completed at the earliest.
The inspection was also attended by Dr. S. Siddharth, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Department.
