Patna : Several trains connecting Bihar with Delhi have been cancelled following railway restrictions linked to a proposed demonstration at Jantar Mantar on Saturday, October 10. The disruption affects services operating to and from New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations, causing inconvenience to passengers travelling from Bihar.

Four pairs of trains connecting Patna with Delhi have been cancelled. The Jogbani–Anand Vihar Terminal Seemanchal Express has also been cancelled for October 9.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to check their train status before leaving home, as the cancellations may affect travel plans.

List Of Trains Reported Cancelled

The following trains were listed in the report as cancelled:

  • Tejas Rajdhani Express: Rajendra Nagar Terminal–New Delhi
  • Sampoorna Kranti Express: Rajendra Nagar Terminal–New Delhi
  • Amrit Bharat Express: Rajendra Nagar Terminal–New Delhi
  • Magadh Express: Islampur–New Delhi
  • Seemanchal Express: Jogbani–Anand Vihar Terminal

Passengers should verify the cancellation status of their specific train and journey date through official railway channels before travelling.

Seemanchal Express Cancelled On October 9

The report states that train number 12487, Seemanchal Express, scheduled to operate from Jogbani to Anand Vihar Terminal on October 9, was cancelled over the entire route.

Railway officials were instructed to publicise the cancellation through passenger information systems and other communication channels, including the railway helpline 139.

The cancellation is particularly relevant for passengers travelling from the Jogbani region of Bihar towards Delhi.

Restrictions On Trains Arriving In Delhi

According to the report, trains scheduled to arrive at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations between 4 am and 2 pm on October 10 were affected by the restrictions. Departures towards these stations were also reported cancelled from 2 pm on October 9.

The measures were linked to a demonstration announced for October 10 at Jantar Mantar. The report said Delhi Police had not granted permission for the proposed gathering, citing insufficient time for security preparations.

Organisers, however, maintained that the demonstration would go ahead.

Passengers Advised To Check Train Status

The sudden cancellations have created difficulties for passengers with planned journeys to the national capital, particularly those travelling for work or other essential commitments.

Passengers should check the latest running status and cancellation notices before leaving for the station. They can also contact Railway Enquiry 139 for information.

Travellers should rely on official Indian Railways updates for confirmation of individual train services, as operational restrictions and cancellation lists may change.
