HAJIPUR – Amit Kumar, widely known as Bacha Rai, the alleged mastermind behind a school-linked topper manufacturing scandal in Vaishali, Bihar, faces mounting troubles as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) gears up to question his family members in connection with an illicit investment case spanning over a hundred properties.
The ED’s team conducted raids at three locations owned by Bacha Rai in Vaishali last Saturday. The operation yielded Rs 3 crore in cash, alongside documents outlining investments in over 100 properties and various crucial papers from Bacha Rai’s premises.
The upcoming interrogation of Rai’s family members is rooted in the evidence amassed during the raids, signaling a deepening of the legal difficulties for the individual accused of orchestrating a scheme designed to produce fake academic achievers.
