Patna: As the Bihar Assembly elections enter their final phase, BJP star campaigners Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan arrived in Patna on Friday to rally support for the NDA, drawing attention for their remarks on Bhojpuri actor-turned-politician Khesari Lal Yadav.
Addressing the media, Ravi Kishan described Khesari Lal Yadav as “our younger brother” and added, “His approach may differ, but the people of Bihar clearly want Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar back in power.”
Manoj Tiwari echoed the sentiment, urging voters to consider service-oriented leadership. “Politics is not just about entering the field; it is about how you serve the public. While the NDA rides a wave of support, those opposing it are opposing Bihar’s progress,” he said.
Manoj Tiwari also criticised the Mahagathbandhan alliance, highlighting internal discord. “Where hearts are not united and alliances are formed merely for convenience, disputes are inevitable. This is evident in the case of the Mahagathbandhan,” he noted.
Meanwhile, Khesari Lal Yadav officially filed his nomination from the Chhapra Assembly seat on an RJD ticket. Initially, the Bhojpuri star had suggested that his wife, Chanda Yadav, contest the election, but after she declined, Khesari stepped into the fray himself.
