Patna: Bihar’s Energy Minister, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, visited the under-construction 400/220/132 KV Grid Sub-Station (GSS) in Chhapra on Sunday, urging officials to speed up work and ensure timely completion.
During his visit, Yadav chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officials, including the Director Project, Chief Engineers of Project-I and Civil, and the Electricity Superintending Engineer of Saran, along with representatives from the executing agencies M/S KPIL and M/S KEC. Discussions focused on the progress of the sub-station and its associated transmission lines.
Yadav emphasised the need for regular monitoring and swift resolution of any obstacles, stressing that the project’s completion would strengthen the power supply network in Chhapra and surrounding areas, providing residents with uninterrupted electricity.
Officials and executing agencies assured the minister that technical and administrative measures were in place to meet the project’s deadlines and that construction was proceeding according to schedule.
The sub-station is part of a broader initiative to modernise Bihar’s power infrastructure, aimed at improving reliability and efficiency across the state’s electricity network.
