Patna: The 80th Independence Day was observed at Vidyut Bhawan and Akshay Urja Bhawan in Patna on August 15, with Bihar Energy Secretary and Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited chairman-cum-managing director Ajay Yadav hoisting the national flag.
The celebrations were organised under the aegis of the Bihar Energy Department. Yadav was accorded a Guard of Honour before the flag-hoisting ceremony.
National Song And Anthem Mark Ceremony
The programme began with the National Song. Following the flag hoisting, officials and employees present saluted the Tricolour as the National Anthem was played.
Students from DAV School performed the National Anthem during the ceremony.
The event was attended by Rahul Kumar, managing director of North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited; Naval Kishore Chaudhary, managing director of Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited; Saurabh Jorwal, managing director of South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited; and Vishal Raj, managing director of Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited.
Senior officials and employees of the Energy Department also attended the celebrations at Vidyut Bhawan and Akshay Urja Bhawan.
Focus On Nation-Building And Renewable Energy
Extending Independence Day greetings to officials and employees, Yadav called for a stronger commitment to nation-building and safeguarding the country’s independence, unity and sovereignty.
Officials and employees present also reiterated their commitment to working towards Bihar’s development and strengthening the state’s renewable energy sector.
