PATNA: Bihar government’s Water Resources Department has announced a large-scale promotion for deserving officials, engineers, and employees. According to information obtained from the department, promotions have been granted across various positions.
The promotions encompass three Chief Engineers, 13 Superintending Engineers, 74 Executive Engineers, 223 Assistant Engineers, 201 Assistant Executive Engineers, three Upper Division Clerks, four Lower Division Clerks, and two Statisticians, totaling 523 eligible officials and employees at various levels.
It is noteworthy that the decision for these promotions was made during a cabinet meeting held on October 13, 2023, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Subsequently, different departments have begun issuing directives for promotions. Along with the promotions, new responsibilities are also being assigned to the promoted officials and employees.
