Scotland: A team of officials from the Bihar Government embarked on a visit to the Glasgow Science Center in Scotland on Sunday, as they continue their exploration of innovative models for the envisioned Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Science Centre in Patna, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Aligned with the esteemed vision of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, plans are underway for the establishment of the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Science Centre in Patna, aimed at attaining world-class standards in scientific education and exploration. In pursuit of this goal, a delegation from the Bihar Government undertook a significant visit to the Glasgow Science Center in Scotland, seeking inspiration and insights to inform the development of their own initiative.
Situated in the vibrant city of Glasgow, the Glasgow Science Center stands as a prominent landmark in Scotland’s landscape. Comprising three distinct edifices, the Science Center serves as a hub for scientific learning and discovery. Nestled within the Clyde Waterfront Regeneration Area, along the south bank of the River Clyde, the Glasgow Science Center has been a beacon of knowledge since its inauguration on July 5, 2001, graced by the presence of Queen Elizabeth II.
During their visit, Bihar Government officials meticulously examined every facet of the Glasgow Science Center, delving into its architectural design, interactive exhibits, and educational programs. The aim was to glean valuable insights and best practices that can be integrated into the development of the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Science Centre, enriching the scientific landscape in Bihar and beyond.
