Patna: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government has reassigned 105 officers of the Bihar Administrative Service, with new appointments spanning several key departments and districts across the state. The General Administration Department issued the official notification on Saturday, detailing the new postings.
Among the prominent changes, Prabhat Kumar Jha, currently serving as the Settlement Officer in Arwal, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Saharsa. Meanwhile, several officers who had been awaiting postings have now been assigned new responsibilities. Umesh Kumar Bharti has been appointed Deputy Secretary in the Bihar Staff Selection Commission. Akhilesh Kumar will serve as Deputy Secretary in the Labour Resources Department, while Anisha Singh and Priyanka Kumari have been posted as Deputy Secretaries in the Bihar Public Service Commission and Social Welfare Department, respectively. Dr Mahendra Pal takes over as Additional Secretary in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department. Sheikh Ziaul Haq will serve as Additional Secretary in the Minority Welfare Department. In regional administrative postings, Vinod Kumar Singh has been named Secretary to the Divisional Commissioner of Bhagalpur, Sudhir Kumar to Munger, and Sandeep Kumar to the Tirhut Division. Further changes include Gyan Prakash’s appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Information and Public Relations Department, Rajiv Kumar as Special Officer in the Health Department, and Dr Prerna Singh as Deputy Secretary in the Industries Department.

Ajay Kumar has been named Special Officer in the Bihar University Service Commission, while Naveen Kumar will serve as Special Officer in the Technical Service Commission. Amir Ahmed has been posted as Senior Deputy Collector in Begusarai, and Rakesh Kumar as Additional Collector (Departmental Investigation), Darbhanga.
