Patna : The Bihar Education Department has assigned districts to 32,688 head teachers selected by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). The allocation, carried out through an automated system, marks a crucial step in the transfer process for teachers awaiting placement.
Head teachers must now submit their preferences for three blocks within their allotted districts by April 12. The selection process will take place online through the e-Shiksha Kosh portal. Following this, school postings will be finalised.
2,645 Candidates Still Awaiting District Allocation
While most candidates have received their district assignments based on their preferences and available vacancies, 2,645 candidates remain without an allotment. They will be given a separate opportunity to choose from available districts.
The BPSC had initially recommended 36,947 candidates for head teacher positions, but after document verification during counselling, 35,333 were deemed eligible.
Deadline for Block Selection: April 5–12
The Education Department has directed district education officers to facilitate the selection process. Candidates who fail to submit their block preferences by April 12 will be assigned schools based on available vacancies.
